Richard L. “Dick” Arnold

GREEN GARDEN, MI – Richard L. “Dick” Arnold, 86, of Green Garden, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 14, 2018, at home, surrounded by family.

He was born August 8, 1931, a son of Edmund and Elsie (Landosky) Arnold. Dick was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Garden. Dick was a builder, and proud of his German heritage. He loved the Upper Peninsula, especially the Green Garden area.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Dick is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Carros Arnold, whom he married in Marquette; daughter, Robin (Kenneth) Hill; step-son, Donald (Pamela) Carros; step-son-in-law, John Cederna; grandchildren, Megan, Allison, Hillary, Kristin, Meghan, and Alison; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jadon, Kate, and Ryan; a brother, Larry (Betty) Arnold; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Abby.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Elsie Arnold; an infant brother, Alvin; first wife, Rosemary Ralph Arnold; and step-daughter, Joanne Carros Cederna.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 17, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Garden, on Wednesday, April 18, at 11:00 am with Pastor John Ruege, officiating. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Interment will be made in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
