Raymond Paul Manzoline

HIBBING, MN – Raymond Paul Manzoline, age 88, longtime resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the MN Veteran’s Home in Silver Bay.

He was born October 22, 1929, in Ishpeming, MI. He was the youngest of six children born to Nunzio and Josephine (Zeppo) Manzoline – who were immigrants to the US in 1921. A veteran of the US Army, Ray served during the Korean War.

He was united in marriage to Norma J. Larson on February 9, 1957 in Marquette, MI.

Ray worked first at Abe Mathews Engineering in Hibbing from 1958 to 1963. He was then hired by Eveleth Taconite Company where he worked until his retirement in 1986. Ray’s first and foremost loyalty was to his family. He enjoyed playing cribbage and BINGO at the Hibbing Tourist Center. He crocheted many Afghans during his lifetime.

Ray is survived by his four children: Lori Jo Manzoline, Robert (Lori Lynn) Manzoline, John Manzoline, and RaeJean (David) Anderson; 9 grandchildren: Beau, Kelly, Melissa, Anne, Marie, Brittany, Sadie, Benjamin, and Charlie; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and sweetheart of 46 years: Norma J. in 2002; his parents; and five siblings.

Visitation will be from 3 PM until the 4 PM Funeral Service Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Greg Anderson will be the Celebrant. Inurnment for Ray and Norma will be a later date in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
