Dolores Chevrette

ISHPEMING, MI – Dolores Chevrette, 77, of Ishpeming, passed away Friday evening, April 6, 2018 at U.P. Health System-Marquette.

Dolores was born on July 31, 1940 in Negaunee, a daughter of the late Todd and Bertha (Stolnack) Anderson and was a lifelong area resident. She was a 1958 graduate of Negaunee High School.

On April 25, 1959, Dolores married Peter Chevrette in Negaunee. Together they raised their family of five children. In her free time, Dolores enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband, traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and friends, and weekly luncheons with her cousins.

Survivors include her five children, Peter (Patricia) Chevrette of Channing, Michael Chevrette of Fridley, MN, Mary Chevrette of Genoa City, WI, Bruce (Patti) Chevrette of Felch, MI, and Dan Chevrette of Philadelphia, PA; 10 grandchildren, Chelsea (Dave) Syrek, Samantha Chevrette, Jason (Lacey) Schmeltzer, Joe (Rachel) Schmeltzer, Sarah (Eric) Hamby, Arthur (Ashley) Schroeder, Daniel (Carly) Chevrette, Shannon (Matthew) Bero, Mark Kendall, Felecia Hubbard; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene (George) Reed and Dorothy Payment; one brother, Bruce (Zita) Anderson; also many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, Peter A. Chevrette.

A celebration of Dolores’ life will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. CDT at the Silver Lake Resort in Channing.
