Randy was born May 20, 1960. At age 6 he moved from Rock, MI to Gwinn, graduating from Gwinn High school and Northern Michigan University. He began his career in Industrial Design with TRW, Romeo, moving on to work for Leer Corp. in Detroit as a Designer 1. He enjoyed the opportunity it afforded him to create and invent.

Being a responsible dad was important to Randy. He enjoyed time with Sarah traveling, going to concerts, rollerblading, skiing and picking apples every fall.

Randy liked cars – all kinds of cars, also motorcycles and Kayaking. He liked to try new things, even bungee jumping. He was a Lions fan and followed all MSU sports.

This past summer he took up golf, having fun chasing golf balls every weekend with his friend Tony.

Randy took pride in his latest project, completely renovating his home. He also looked forward to playtime with Zeus, his big yellow lab.

Those who knew Randy described him as honest, funny, smart, hard working, generous and adventurous.

Not many knew he had to contend with numerous medical issues. That’s how he wanted it. He never complained. “It is what it is” he’d say. Randy lived life to the fullest and he did it his way. We miss him.
