Born March 16, 1973, in Marquette, a son of Fred A. and Barbara (Spitz) Robare, Fred was raised in Marquette and was a graduate of Marquette Senior High School, Class of 1992. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Army where he was trained in Air Assault School. His duty assignments included being stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and in Darmstadt, Germany. While in the military, Fred served as a Combat Life Saver and he especially enjoyed the German highway system, the Autobahn, for its allowances for speed. Fred was a Bosnian War Veteran. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the area. Fred was basically a very unique, structured, and private individual, but he left an impact on the people fortunate enough to know him. He was a talented cook and enjoyed bringing food to family and friends. An outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, Fred was also an avid gun collector. Fred greatly enjoyed watching movies and on new release days often came home with a stack of new videos. All this, he enjoyed sharing with family and friends, and was available to help anyone in need. Family was very important and Fred was especially close to his father, Fred (Team Frick and Frack), with the pair making daily trips to WalMart. He loved his family, especially his niece and nephews, and often entertained the family with stories of his military experiences, always wearing his hair high and tight in military style.
The dogs and pets, they were family too, and never far from his companionship and care. Throughout the years, Fred was active with the AMVETS post #122.
Fred is survived by his mother and father; his three siblings, Paige (William) Chaudier of Negaunee, Shannon (Robert Anderson) Reaves of Gwinn, and Carl Robare of Gwinn; his niece and nephews, Kaylee and Logan Chaudier, Jacob, Benjamin, and Noah Reaves; numerous aunts and cousins.
