Margaret K. ‘Kitty’ Maki

Margaret was born November 18, 1952 in Ishpeming to Glenn and Evelyn (Collick) Kecker and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School night program, earning her diploma in 1995. Margaret was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family, friends and anyone who needed it.

In her spare time ‘Kitty’ loved bike riding, working puzzles, playing board games and cards, was an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies with her family.

Surviving are her 2 sons, John W. and Glenn A. Maki, both of Ishpeming; her beloved soulmate, Roger ‘Rocky’ Schofield; her feline companion, Karri; best friends: Eileen Glenn, Howard (Dawn) Kelsey, Dave (Chris) Aho and Ernie (Judith) Harsila; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Bonnie Kecker.

Honoring Kitty’s wishes, private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Remember me when flowers bloom, early in the spring.

Remember me on sunny days in the fun that summer brings.

Remember me in the fall as you walk through leaves of gold,

And in the winter time remember me in the stories that are told.
