Lawrence ‘Larry’ Sweitzer

Larry was born August 18, 1957 in Dearborn, MI., the son of Robert and Gerda (Johnson) Sweitzer. Larry married Patricia Lane on October 17, 1988 in Marquette, MI. Together they made their home in Gladstone, MI. Larry worked at Lakestate Industries in Escanaba for many years and also worked for DATA for a short period of time.

Larry had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and even took on Taxidermy. He liked to play the guitar to his wife Patty.

In addition to his wife, Patty, he is survived by: Mother: Gerda Sweitzer of Caldwell, ID; 3 Sisters: Julie (Wayne) Edwards of Cape Coral, FL, Susan (Dennis) Helkenn of Caldwell, ID, Erika (David) Jones of Renton, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his Father, Robert Sweitzer and a baby Brother.

Family will receive friends Friday, February 2, 2018 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba. Pastor Scott Breault will be officiating services for Larry at 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Escanaba.

The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Sweitzer family.
