Randall James “Randy” Black Jr.

Randy was born December 23, 1925 in Marquette, MI the son of Randall and Mae (Simar) Black.

Loving husband of 71 years to Margaret (Dionne) and loving father to Margaret (Walter) Aho, Rosanne Cole, Laura (Paul) Knuckman, and Paulette (Gary) Grisso. Further survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Randy always had a love for the water and as a young man worked as a wheelsman on the ore boats on the Great Lakes.

He was a prison guard for 10 years. Randy retired after 25 years working for the LS & I railroad first as a brakeman, conductor, engineer, and finally yardmaster on the very ore docks he began at as a young man. Randy will be sorely missed by friends and family.

According to Randy’s wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be held.
