PAUL FIELD

MARQUETTE, MI. – Paul John Field, age 48, of Marquette, entered eternal life Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in the loving, comforting care of his family.

Born October 17, 1969, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a son of Donald and Marilyn (Eckart) Field, Paul’s family moved to Andover, Ohio when he was ten. He graduated from Pymatuning Valley High School, Class of 1988, where he was active in track and cross country sports. He entered the US Navy and, following his honorable discharge, returned to Andover where he was employed for a brief time. He then relocated to Akron, Ohio, working in a tool shop. In 1994, Paul moved to the Skandia, Michigan area, working on a dairy farm.

In 2000, Paul moved to Marquette and was employed as a tire technician with Pomp’s Tire for twelve years. His hobbies and special interests included his dog, Oscar, antique collecting, and investing.

Paul is survived by his mother, Marilyn Warren of Skandia, MI; sisters, Kristin (Harold) McLaughlin of Geneva, OH and Melissa Field of Macedonia, OH; and brothers, Michael Field of Ashtabula, OH, Damien (Mary Beth) Field of Andover, OH, and Shaun (Katie) Field of Finley, OH; several step-brothers and step-sisters; many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his father in 2016; and step-father, James Warren.

Graveside services, with veterans honors, will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Andover, Ohio at a later date. A Celebration of Life will be held locally at a later date and will be announced.
