Gerald to play blues at band shell

MARQUETTE – The city of Marquette Arts and Culture Center and the Marquette Blues Society presents David Gerald at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The public is invited to attend this free concert at the band shell on Presque Isle.

David Gerald, raised in Detroit, plays blues and R&B music. Gerald started playing guitar at the age of 16. His influences include Albert King, ZZ Hill, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Gerald has played nationally with his band and has received widespread radio play. He was recently listed as No. 1 on the ReverbNation blues charts for Michigan blues artists, and his debut album, “Hell and Back” reached No. 1 on Roots Music Report blues chart for Michigan based artists.
