GWINN – The Forsyth Township Historical Society will present “Company Towns: A U.P. Perspective” at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Gwinn Clubhouse on Maple Street in Gwinn.

Guest speaker Christian Holmes, retired librarian and dean at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba and author of the recent book “Company Towns of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula,” will discuss his book and some of the unique and amusing findings from it.

Admission is free for society members and students, and $2 for all others. Refreshments will be served.
