Tadych’s Econo Foods held a ‘Round-Up’ fundraiser in September to help the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter and raised $1,076.53. UPAWS states in a release: “We would like to thank all of the cashiers at Econo who asked customers if they wanted to ‘round-up’ to help UPAWS and of course all of the customers who said yes, they wanted to help us! We aren’t able to hold some of our regular fundraisers this year, so this was a wonderful way to help our shelter. All of the money goes toward our daily operating expenses, to care for the pets at our shelter 365 days a year.
