Sheriff’s deputy uses day off to help train Girl Scouts
Local Girl Scout Daisy Troop 5233 got together on (recently) with Deputy Alex Gill from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office and learned about safety and what to do in an emergency. The girls are the youngest of the Girl Scouts who are learning from Deputy Gill. It was very beneficial as to what to do in an emergency situation, because most of them did not know. Deputy Gill did this on his day off, making the experience very fun for the girls. Being young girls, alot of them were afraid of police officers but after meeting with Deputy Gill, they now have a different perspective.
