Superior Health Foundation aids Girls on the Run

The Superior Health Foundation held its annual golf outing on June 14 at Red Fox Run in Gwinn. This year, it partnered with Girls on the Run - Upper Peninsula. GOTR, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, is a health and wellness group that teaches life skills to adolescent girls in the U.P. through engaging lessons that celebrate the joy of movement. At the event, the Superior Health Foundation provided GOTR with a check for $5,325 to help it expand its network across the region. “Girls on the Run Upper Peninsula was an incredible partner,” said Jim LaJoie, executive director of the Superior Health Foundation. “We enjoyed an outstanding day of golf. We are incredibly thankful for the support.” The outing netted a record $21,192.37. Pictured from left is LaJoie and Cindy Merkel, executive director of GOTR - Upper Peninsula.
