The Superior Health Foundation awarded Lake Superior Hospice and Life Care in Marquette a check for $11,419 to support an in-home respite care program for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The funding, which came out of an Alzheimer’s fund held by the Superior Health Foundation, will provide an average of 10 hours a week of in-home respite care. Existing Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice dementia-trained, adult day services care aides or hospice care aides will provide the in-home care.
