Negaunee apparel retailer 1844 recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark its opening. Attending the event are, front row from left, Kori Tossava, Marty Saari, Karen Saari, Izzy Kantola, Ann Kantola and Tia Rodda; and back row from left, Jordan LaFreniere and Jim Kantola. In addition, 1844 also hosted a business after hours gathering in conjunction with the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce at the store, which is located in the Negaunee City Center on Iron Street in downtown Negaunee.
