Members of the Marquette Marathon Race Committee are shown with a $12,500 check representing the total proceeds of the 2014 race that were donated to several Marquette County organizations. The organizations that received donations were the Marquette Mountain Ski Patrol, Marquette Firefighters Local 643, Redmen hockey team, MSHS dance team, MSHS swim team, MSHS cross country running team, Upper Peninsula Children’s Bereavement Network, Youth Advisory Committee, First Presbyterian Church Youth Group, and a donation on behalf of the Muffin Runners to purchase additional signage at pedestrian crosswalks along the Marquette bike path.
