Lake Superior Community Partnership CEO Amy Clickner was awarded the Michigan Economic Developers Association Medalist Award recently at their annual meeting at Boyne Mountain. The award identifies outstanding contributions to economic development within Michigan. Recipients of this award have demonstrated commitment to the profession of economic development, dedication to the growth of his or her community of responsibility and have shown a record of achievement for an extended period of time. Over the last five years, Clickner has led the LSCP in surpassing its economic development goals. Between 2009 and 2013, the LSCP has assisted 1,165 businesses. The LSCP economic development team has supported projects that impacted 10,639 jobs, with 856 jobs projected and 323 jobs retained in 2013. Clickner has also led the LSCP to become one of two Accredited Economic Development Organizations in the state.
