Rotundo earns Eagle Scout Award

Nathan Rotundo, center, of Boy Scout Troop 309 recently received the Eagle Scout Award in ceremonies at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Shown with him are Scoutmaster Al Feldhauser, left, and District Executive Kevin Corkin. Rotundo’s Eagle Scout service project was the construction and placement of 30 wood duck nesting stations on the Dead River Basin in collaboration with Ducks Unlimited, Moosewood Nature Center and the Marquette Board of Light and Power. Nathan earned 49 merit badges during his Scouting years, far beyond the 21 needed for Eagle Scout. He is a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, Boy Scout’s honor society. He will be a senior at Marquette Senior High School, where he is a member of the swim team and band.
