A total of $1,700 was raised recently by the Throttle Bar in Little Lake and Boogren MI TECH and donated to Mission VII of the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight. At the presentation were, front row from left, Honor Flight Committee member Paula Waeghe and Amanda Washburn and Mindy Retherford of the Throttle; and back row from left, back are Honor Flight Committee member Sue Beranek, Joe Boogren of Boogren MI TECH, John Paris of the Throttle, and Honor Flight Committee members Barb VanRooy and Pat and Paul Makela. Mission VII will involve about 80 World War II and Korean War veterans traveling to Washington, D.C., free of charge next week to visit war memorials.
