ONTONAGON — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources Western Upper Peninsula Citizens’ Advisory Council is scheduled to meet from 2 to 4 p.m. CDT Wednesday at the ski chalet at Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.

Among the agenda items, the council is scheduled to hear updates on Houghton County trail conditions, chronic wasting disease regulations and the DNR Law Enforcement Division’s Strategic Plan.

The council will also elect officers and receive committee reports.

The public can participate in the session by offering comments to the discussion during two specified periods during the meeting. For instructions, see www.michigan.gov/upcac.
