MSP: pills found in South Range home

SOUTH RANGE — Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team, United States Postal Inspection Service, Homeland Security Investigations and troopers from the Michigan State Police on Wednesday executed a search warrant at a residence located on First Street in South Range, with pills discovered on the premises.

MSP said the investigation revealed the homeowner received a package in the mail that contained approximately 60 oxycontin pills. The homeowner was interviewed and released.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains ongoing. No names or additional information is being released at this time.
