Motorcyclist injured in legs, head in Nadeau Twp. accident

NADEAU — A motorcyclist was injured in an accident that took place at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday near Oakwood Road in Nadeau Township in Menominee County.

The Michigan State Police Gladstone Post said the operator was traveling southbound at the location when the driver left the roadway to the west side of the road and struck several trees.

The driver suffered severe injuries to his legs as well as a head injury. The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time.

The crash remains under investigation, with the driver’s name not being released at this time.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by Menominee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, EMTs from Mid-County Rescue, Rampart EMS, the Nadeau Township Fire Department, Guardian Flight, and Poupore Collision and Towing.
