NEGAUNEE — Work is underway on the addition to Lakeview School for which Proksch Construction Co. of Iron River is serving as general contractor. Aided by favorable weather, the contractor is making satisfactory progress, according to a report submitted by Edwin Larson, building program supervisor, to Supt. A. B. Haist. Larson has been assigned by Warren Holmes to cover all of the construction projects which the Lansing architectural firm has under way in the Upper Peninsula, and will make weekly inspections of the Negaunee job. All excavating has been completed for pipe tunnels and the footings poured. Masons yesterday were erecting foundation walls and pouring concrete. It is hoped to have the addition ready for occupancy by the start of the second semester of the 1960-61 school year.
