MARQUETTE — The Palestra won’t be dark tonight. Though the Sentinels, usual Thursday night inhabitants, are idle, the Marquette Flyers team will take over the ice, hosting the Gladstone Indians in an exhibition game. The Flyers have a 19-3 record this season, and this is a rematch of a rugged game in Delta County, which the Flyers won, 6-4, despite the fact that five major penalties were called in the game. The Indians reportedly will add some of the Escanaba Hawks to their squad for this. Frank Myers, their goalie, has a 2.3 goals per game average. The Flyers, playing in the city’s senior amateur league, are coached by Lou Latrell and managed by Herb Borcher. They will play in the city championship finals next week.
