MARQUETTE — Stephen Pearcy and his four Ratt-mates have been on tour for a long time now. So while they love being on the road and meeting their fans, Pearcy and crew are looking forward to a rest–and soon.

“Ratt has played something like 130 dates so far this year,” Pearcy said during a telephone interview with The Mining Journal Tuesday. “We’re looking forward to a long rest after this tour… We’ve been touring for three and a half years.”

Ratt, who with Poison will rock Marquette’s Lakeview Arena Friday, have ventured all across America and overseas, where they were especially well-received in places like Japan. Is Pearcy looking forward to playing Marquette?

“We’re excited to be going anywhere,” he said. “We love it.”

The band is soon to complete its North American tour. Pearcy said when the trip down the road is over, he’s heading for home. Once the tour is wrapped up, work on another album may begin. Ratt has cranked out three certified platinum albums in three attempts.
