EDITOR’S NOTE: The following information is collected from Marquette City Police Department dispatch log books recorded at the time the calls were received. The incidents reported may have proven to be unfounded once police investigated. Some log entries may be edited or omitted due to space constraints.

July 9

≤ 12:07 a.m., officer located smoke alarm going off at address downtown; fire department called to investigate, building checked and cleared, 200 block of West Washington Street

≤ 1:11 a.m., loud noise complaint; warned, 200 block of West Fair Avenue

≤ 1:52 a.m., possible domestic assault, subjects arguing; verbal only, subjects separated for the evening, 700 block of Grove Street

≤ 2:32 a.m., loud noise complaint; warned, 500 block of North Front Street

≤ 3:52 a.m., report of intoxicated male subject staggering in middle of road, refusing to get out of way of traffic; area checked, unable to locate, North Third Street near West Magnetic Street

≤ 4:04 a.m., assault — caller reports subject got into physical altercation with neighbor; spoke with both parties, no charges sought, 400 block of Northland Drive

≤ 5:46 a.m., barking dog complaint; area checked, unable to locate, Blemhuber Avenue near Champion Street

≤ 7:10 a.m., report that subject moved signs and barrels in construction zone; officer was able to put back in place, South Seventh Street near West Spring Street

≤ 8:15 a.m., report of vehicle driving wrong way around the island; officer checked area, found out from walkers that vehicle had already left, Presque Isle Park

≤ 9:18 a.m., parking complaint, vehicle parked in his driveway; officer able to locate driver and get vehicle moved, 1400 block of Altamont Street

≤ 11:25 a.m., intoxicated subject loitering in parking lot; subject moved along, 200 block of South Fifth Street

≤ 11:30 a.m., report of motorcycle parked illegally; citation issued, 300 block of West Baraga Avenue

≤ 11:54 a.m., report of subject sleeping on property; moved along, 100 block of South McClellan Avenue

≤ 12:00 p.m., report of vehicle blocking sidewalk; vehicle was gone, 200 block of West Hewitt Avenue

≤ 12:31 p.m., possible suicidal subject; officer spoke with subject, not suicidal, just having a bad day, 2000 block of Wright Street

≤ 1:12 p.m., officer flagged down and advised that a male subject was hitting a female subject in a parking lot; officer checked the area and could not find anything, spoke with subject who had been sitting there a few minutes and they hadn’t seen anything, 500 block of West Washington Street
