July 8

≤ 1:57 p.m., caller reports a suspicious situation, stated his back door was damaged by unknown person; no report wanted, log entry only, 300 block of West Crescent Street

≤ 2:13 p.m., property inspections, Marquette

≤ 3:08 p.m., caller reports a male slumped over the wheel in parking lot; operator arrested for operating while intoxicated – drugs, 2000 block of US-41 West

≤ 3:17 p.m., keys locked in vehicle with infant inside; no Chocolay Township Police Department car working at time of dispatch, CTPD officer checked in service and took call, 1600 block of M-28 East

≤ 6:31 p.m., caller reports seeing something floating in the distance off the lighthouse point area, would like it checked on; US COast Guard boat in Munising at time and unable to assist, officer checked and was unable to observe anything in the water, Lighthouse Point

≤ 6:47 p.m., caller reports locating an intoxicated male subject passed out in parking lot; woken and moved along, Fourth Street near Bluff Street

≤ 6:49 p.m., caller requests wellbeing check on subject, possibly suicidal; subject finally answered phone, located and taken to UP Health Systems-Marquette for treatment, self-admit, Marquette City

≤ 7:28 p.m., caller reports male subject lying in grass behind apartments for extended period of time, unsure if he is intoxicated or has medical problem; subject checked on, intoxicated, moved along, 700 block of Champion Street

≤ 7:40 p.m., suspicious — caller reports two subjects in hazmat suits cleaning out trailer; subjects just bought trailer recently and are cleaning it out as it is very dirty, no other problems, 700 block of Pioneer Road

≤ 7:50 p.m., lockout, opened, Lakeshore Boulevard near Wright Street

≤ 8:00 p.m., traffic stop at dead-end of Pioneer Road; small amount of marijuana located and seized, to be destroyed, Pioneer Road

≤ 8:00 p.m., intoxicated subject passed out in yard; moved along, 200 block of North Fourth Street

≤ 8:05 p.m., caller believes someone may have been in her apartment within the last several days, no damage or anything missing, just wanted it noted in case someone else has same problem, 1300 block of Longyear Avenue

≤ 9:44 p.m., caller reports some type of alarm going off at the apartments, unsure what it is; fire department also contacted; building checked with maintenance person, smoke alarm repaired, 900 block of West Ridge Street

≤ 10:35 p.m., possible operating while intoxicated driver called in by another law agency, traffic stop; checks conducted, negative results, warned about the driving, US-41 near Welcome Center

≤ 10:56 p.m., property inspections throughout night, Marquette

≤ 11:07 p.m., caller reports possible larceny of headphones; no larceny, item was left behind over a month ago, civil issue, 300 block of Pine Street

≤ 11:58 p.m., fireworks complaint; area checked, unable to locate, 1400 block of West Fair Avenue
