USDA grants available

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced the availability of up to $9.5 million for Compost and Food Waste Reduction pilot projects for this fiscal year.

The cooperative agreements support projects that develop and test strategies for planning and implementing municipal compost plans and food waste reduction plans. They are part of the USDA’s broader efforts to support urban agriculture.

Details are available at bit.ly/3mWYXFp. A pre-recorded webinar will be posted at farmers.gov/urban.
