NMU percussion to perform

MARQUETTE — The Northern Michigan University Percussion Ensemble will present its annual winter semester concert under the direction of professor James Strain at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The concert will be held at Reynolds Recital Hall or can be virtually streamed via subscription through the School of Music, Theater and Dance Broadcast Network.

The ensemble will perform with standard percussion instruments such as drums, cymbals, gongs, marimbas, xylophones, bells, vibraphones, chimes and timpani. In addition to the ensemble music, several students will also perform solos on a variety of instruments.
