NCLL annual meeting nears

MARQUETTE — Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will hold its Annual Meeting 2022 & Service Dogs for Vets event on May 19.

Come, bring a friend who might be interested in NCLL and join in the annual meeting. NCLL will provide a catered meal.

The highlight of the evening will be a presentation by Andrew Bek, who has been training service dogs (and people) for years. He is collaborating with veterans to train service dogs for their specific needs. This will be a very enlightening presentation as Andrew is a vet himself and truly understands combat and its lingering effects.

There also will be a business meeting to elect members to the board of directors. This event is from 4:30-8 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at American Legion Hall, 700 W. Bluff St., Marquette.

There is no charge, but interested parties must RSVP by Monday so NCLL can order food. For more information, contact Julie Higbie, 906-361-5370, jhigbie@nmu.edu or Judi Mouser, 906-360-2859, mouserhouse@hotmail.com.
