ISHPEMING — Cub Scout Pack 321 handed out the following awards at their May pack meeting. Receiving awards were: Daniel Perry, Todd Anderson and Adam Manty, Bear badges; Bradley Baldini, Erick Roberts, and John Robbins, Wolf badges; Brandon Heitikko, Silver Arrow, Family Member and Craftsman pins were earned by Webelos: Matthew Dryer, Eric Poirier, Jay Tasson, Matthew Lampi, Justin Steinke, Ryan Foster, Ben Maki, Dustin Vietzke, Kevin Letson and David Snider.

The following leaders were recognized with Certificates of Appreciation: Louis Verville, Dave U’Ren, Steve Nurmela, Wil Anderson, Jim Gravedoni, Micki Foster, Randy Rivard, Steve Nelson, Bruce Coron, Trudy Koski, Denise Perry, George Watters, Dennis Tasson, Kevin Bannon, Dave and Cheryl Poirier and Mark and Nancy Dryer.

BIG BAY – Powell Township School’s eighth grade students will present a class night program Wednesday evening in the school auditorium, beginning at 8. A class play, “Vanity Takes a Ride,” will be presented. Included in the cast of characters are Nancy Cram, Robert Larion, Pamela Gross, Celeste Strielman, Lavonne Durand and William Noel. Also included in the program will be a class history by Miss Durand, the class will by Miss Cram, and a piano solo by Miss Gross; Noel and Marion will present the giftatory. Several selections will be offered by the girls chorus, accompanied by Mrs. Gretchen Tompkins. The program will under the direction of Mrs. Helen Price, eighth grade teacher.
