Tai chi offered on Wednesdays

MARQUETTE –Beginning this Wednesday, a free Tai Chi session will continue to take place each week from 5:30-6 p.m. each Wednesday at the west end of Marquette’s Mattson Park, near the trees, not far from the historic fire-bell.

These sessions will occur regardless of weather. Dress warmly. No experience is necessary.

Over the course of recent weeks folks from all ages have joined in, from 4 years old to 80. Tai Chi is a gentle mind/body exercise, first developed in China hundreds of years ago to build resilience, focus, and balance.

These exercises are brought to the public during these months of COVID-19 as a gift to strengthen immunity and health and sponsored by The Cedar Tree Institute, a nonprofit organization that provides services and initiates projects in the areas of mental health, religion, and the environment. A cup of hot tea awaits you.
