Public art commission to hold special meeting tonight

MARQUETTE — The city of Marquette announced Tuesday that there will be a special meeting tonight of the Marquette Public Art Commission to discuss the Hurley Park Mural Project. The meeting will be held virtually starting at 6:30 p.m., with board members and staff attending remotely. This meeting will be available via Zoom.

There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing or written comment.

There will be two public comment periods for the meeting, one near the beginning of the agenda and one at the end. Comments are limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address before speaking.

In order to offer a live video comment, you must visit https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82489344023?pwd=Tnp6cHZzS09DT1lQNE9RRXhkcE5lZz09.

Members of the public wishing to call in and make a comment over the phone will need to call 312-626-6799 and enter the meeting I.D. 824 8934 4023.

The video and phone conference lobby will open at 6:25 p.m. today.

When participating via video or phone, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room until the public comment portions of the meetings are reached. Once public comment begins, the chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby, providing the opportunity to address the full board. It is recommended participants follow the Zoom meeting to know when the public comment portion is nearing, and to be ready to comment.

Written comments will be presented to the board during the meeting and can be submitted by emailing tmorin@marquettemi.gov. Written submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. today.
