Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Deputies of the Year
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Deputies of the Year for 2020 are Road Patrol Division Deputy Keith Romback and Corrections Division Deputy Trystan Lahti. These awards are selected each year by the supervisors in each division, according to a press release from Sheriff Greg Zyburt. Deputy Romback was selected for his dependability, willingness to work any shift or detail and overall knowledge and thoroughness, officials said. Deputy Romback has also been a good mentor for other deputies. Deputy Romback has been with the sheriff’s office for 28 years. Deputy Lahti was selected by his supervisors for his willingness to take on extra duties, his self-motivation and his ability to communicate with inmates, officials said. One supervisor stated “Deputy Lahti has continued to exceed expectations. The biggest compliment I can give someone is … I trust him” Deputy Lahti has been with the sheriff’s office for 2.5 years.
