Gwinn Community Schools’ food program extended to offer free meals

MARQUETTE — Gwinn Area Community Schools announced that the summer food service program for children has been extended. Free meals will be available to children 18 years of age and under or persons up to age 26 who are enrolled in an educational program for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a state or local public educational agency.

Meals can be ordered by using the google form at www.gwinnschools.org.

For online learners and families with qualifying children not in school, meals will be available for pickup at K.I. Sawyer Elementary School and Gwinn/Middle High School between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 pm Monday and Thursday. Monday’s pickup will include meals for Monday-Thursday and Thursday’s pickup will include meals for the weekend.

In-school learners will be provided free meals at school each day and can order weekend meals to take home each Thursday.
