MARQUETTE — The Marquette Lions Club is accepting donations of returnable cans and plastic bottles (no glass accepted) along with the collection of eye glasses and hearing aids.

This event will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Marquette Lions Lakeside Park to benefit Marquette Lions community projects. Bring donations to the entrance of Marquette Lions Lakeside Park at the intersection of Fisher Street and South Front Street and those who would like to contribute will be guided through the park for drop off.

In order to respect safe social distancing, remain in the vehicle, a masked volunteer will remove the contributions.

Per current state guidelines all members in the vehicle should wear a mask while in the park.
