PWPL hosts classical musicians

MARQUETTE — The Peter White Public Library’s series of events, Musical Interludes, sponsored by the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of PWPL, is now Live!

On Monday, music lovers are invited to get to know two classical musicians in an informal interview/performance on the library’s Front Street steps from 7-8 p.m.

The library’s guests will be violinist Danielle Simandle and cellist Adam Hall, members of the Superior String Alliance Chamber players, a group of professional performers who also teach at the SSA Summer Music Camp, the only residential camp in the U.P. exclusively for string students.

The SSA Chamber Players perform concerts to spread their love of chamber music and to raise funds for their campers through the SSA Camper Scholarship Fund.

Bring a chair or blanket to sit on to enjoy this weekly event.

Attendees are requested to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines.

A rain date has been set for Tuesday from 7-8 p.m.

Learn how Simandle and Hall have been spending their time during this pandemic and how they continue to support the SSA.

Then listen to them perform some of their favorite chamber music.

For more information, check out the events calendar of the library’s website www.pwpl.info or email Carolyn at cmcmanis@uproc.lib.mi.us.
