MARQUETTE — The city of Marquette has closed the two-track leading to Morgan Falls from County Road 553 to motorized vehicles. A previous public service announcement stated that motorized vehicles are not allowed in this area from April 1 through Dec. 31 annually; the correct dates for this closure is April 1 through Dec. 1 annually.

People can still access the falls through non-motorized means, a city press release states. Parking for use of the entire trails system is available at the Noquemanon Trail Network trailhead. For those wishing to use ORV trails, city officials advise individuals to contact the Department of Natural Resources about the newly approved ORV trail system through the west end of the Heartwood property.
