Planning commission meets today

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Planning Commission will be held virtually via Zoom video conferencing at 6 p.m. today and streamed on Channel 191 and on the City of Marquette YouTube channel.

Public participation will be available through video conferencing, phone conferencing or written comment during the three public periods for the meeting; one at the beginning, one during the public hearing request and one at the end. Comments are limited to three minutes and speakers must state their name and address.

For those wishing to make a video comment, visit us02web.zoom.us/j/89432416777. For those wishing to call in and make a comment, call 312-626-6799 and enter the meeting ID 894 324 6777. Written comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. today by emailing dstensaas@marquettemi.gov.

Participants will be placed into a virtual lobby/on-hold until the public comment portions of the meetings are reached; the lobby will open at 5:50 p.m. The chair of the Planning Commission will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them the opportunity to speak once public comment begins. Officials urge participants to follow the meeting on YouTube to know when public comment is occurring.
