Hit-and-run investigation continues

MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a vehicle and pedestrian accident that occurred on May 7 near Sugarloaf Mountain and seriously injured one pedestrian.

The hit-and-run crash took place around 3:45 p.m. May 7 on County Road 550 near Partridge Bay Trail in Marquette Township. A northbound vehicle struck the pedestrian, a 23-year-old man from Marquette, and fled the scene.
