HARRIS –There will be an Apprentice of the Year dinner on Saturday at the Island Resort and Casino in Harris.

The agenda: 5-6 p.m. reception with cash bar; 6:15 p.m. sit-down dinner; and 7 p.m. speakers and awards presentation.

The Apprentice of the Year vent names the top apprentice and two finalists. Nearly 20 apprentices were nominated. These apprentices met the rigorous criteria and were interviewed by an independent committee.

This event is organized and hosted by the Upper Peninsula Construction Council to recognize outstanding apprentices in the U.P. construction industry.
