MARQUETTE — The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter’s Holiday Store is open at the Westwood Mall in Marquette.

Volunteers on hand to help with holiday shopping. Lots of cool UPAWS logo items are available for purchase for UPAWS fans of all ages.

The UPAWS 2020 Pet Photo Calendar is out with lots of cute pictures of pets. They are $12 each. Buy three calendars or more and the price drops to $10 per calendar.

There are T-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, blankets, hats, jewelry, catnip toys and unique handcrafted items donated by shelter supporters.

And this year there are the new “Paws Park” logo items too — hoodies, T-shirts, water bowls and bumper stickers.

UPAWS has its ‘Lights of Love’ tree up and the special ornaments are starting to be put on the tree. Honor or remember a family pet by putting an ornament ($5 each) on this special tree that’s right inside the UPAWS store. The UPAWS Holiday Booth is open Wednesday through Sunday afternoons, with longer hours on Saturday. UPAWS offers a big thank you to the Westwood Mall for allowing it to use a beautiful store again this year, across from the Hallmark store.

All proceeds benefit homeless animals 365 days a year.
