NEGAUNEE–Thomas J. Sundberg has been elected to serve as the Worshipful Master of Negaunee Lodge 202 of the Free and Accepted Masons for 1990. Sundberg is a third generation master mason. His father, Walter Sundberg, is a past master of the Negaunee Lodge. Sundberg was installed during ceremonies Dec. 11 at the Negaunee Masonic Temple.

ISHPEMING–Pledges and contributions for the 1959-60 campaign in the Greater Ishpeming and Surrounding Townships United Fund area totaled $15,053 this week, it was announced by Lawrence E. Robertson and Jack Bowen, co-chairman. The drive section captains, who met Monday, said about two-thirds of the canvassing was completed and termed the response “gratifying.” The five-week-old campaign, which got off to a delayed start on Nov. 10, is aiming at a goal of $26,211. The budget and admissions committee allocated the total to eight organizations plus 33 agencies which are members of the Michigan United Fund. Pledges and donations for the mail portion of the campaign began shortly before the canvassing.
