UP blood center needs supplies
MARQUETTE — The UP Regional Blood Center is currently experiencing a critical need for B-pos, O-neg, A-pos and A-neg blood types.
The UP Regional Blood Center has collection sites in Marquette, Hancock, Escanaba, Sault Ste. Marie and Iron Mountain and is the primary supplier of blood to 13 Upper Peninsula hospitals.
Visit the website www.mgh.org/blood for center details and blood drive locations. Currently, the Marquette center is open from 8 a.m-5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on Wednesday and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.
