Literacy celebration Thursday
MARQUETTE — The Marquette-Alger Reading Council will be holding an autumn celebration of literacy, simply called MARC Fall Kick-Off, from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at Drifa Brewing Co., 502 S. Lake St. in south Marquette.
Appetizers from Togo’s and Aubree’s will be provided. Network with educators and community members who work with literacy every day. There will be prize drawings and an opportunity to bid on items which will benefit upcoming literacy projects in the community.
