Rummage, bake sale held at Moosewood Nature Center

Above, attendees browse through items at Moosewood Nature Center’s rummage and bake sale Friday morning. The event, which started Friday, continues today. Now in its third year, the sale raises funds for the nonprofit nature center. “All our items are all gently used items that were donated from community members, people that are supportive of Moosewood and our mission,” Moosewood Nature Center volunteer Tiffany Rantanen said. “It’s a variety of mens’ and women’s clothing, books, CDs, movies, housewares, decor and sporting goods.” The sale will continue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Moosewood Nature Center, which is located along Peter White Drive at Presque Isle Park. Cash and checks are accepted. “Depending on how it goes today and tomorrow, we may considering extending it to Sunday, we’ll see,” Rantanen said. “But we just hope people come out and find some new treasures.” At right, baked goods at Moosewood Nature Center’s rummage and bake sale are pictured. A variety of items, including hammocks, clothing, toys, sporting goods, decor and even a drone could be found at the sale Friday morning. (Journal photos by Cecilia Brown)
