DNR to host fisheries meetings

ISHPEMING — The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is holding a “Conversations & Coffee” to give people an opportunity to discuss local issues and management activities with DNR Fisheries Division managers and biologists from 7 to 9 p.m. April 24 at Ishpeming Township Hall, 1575 U.S. 41.

The meeting will focus on the Western Lake Superior Management Unit.

Other meetings for this unit will be from 7 to 9 p.m. April 25 at the Portage Lake District Library, 58 Huron St., Houghton, and from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT April 23 at Gogebic Community College, 4946 Jackson Road, Ironwood.

Meetings for the Eastern Lake Superior Management Unit will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 2 at the Tahquamenon Area Public Library, 700 Newberry Ave., Newberry, and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. April 4 at the Holiday Inn Express Munising-Lakeview, E8890 M-28, Munising.

A Northern Lake Huron Management Unit meeting will begin at 6 p.m. April 16 at in the Anchor Room of the Walker Cisler University Center at Lake Superior State University, 650 W. Easterday Ave., Sault Ste. Marie.

A Northern Lake Michigan Management Unit meeting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. CDT today in Room 231 of the Bay College West Campus, 2801 U.S. 2, Iron Mountain.
