MARQUETTE — One person was transported to the hospital and one driver was cited after a two-vehicle personal injury crash on U.S. 41 West at Commerce Drive in Marquette Township around 1:30 p.m. Monday, according to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.

Jessica Renfro, 29, of Marquette was driving a 2007 Ford station wagon on Commerce Drive north at the U.S. 41 West intersection when a Dodge pickup truck “failed to stop for the red light” on the highway and crossed in front of the station wagon causing a crash, police said.

The driver of the pickup truck, James Goriesky, 46, of Marquette was cited for disregarding the traffic signal, according to police.

Renfro was transported to UP Health System-Marquette by Marquette Township EMS and Goriesky was uninjured, police said.
