The Honey Bear Classic Ski Event takes place Saturday on the Big Bay Pathway, which is part of the Noquemanon Trail Network, in Big Bay. This volunteer coordinated event includes a 12K and a 24K timed event at a $15 suggested donation; as well as a 6K and a 7K youth event at a $5 donation. Unique prizes will be offered along with the annual weenie roast, refreshments and a warming fire. The Honey Bear mascot will be there to take photos with attendees. “Let’s have a ski event, get people out on the trails to see how beautiful it is and just enjoy it,” Kristi Mills, event coordinator, said. Proceeds from this event help support the grooming and maintenance of the NTN trails.
